We have been here several times over the year. Each of our visits have been separated several months but the food has always been consistently excellent. The tamales are especially good. We consider ourselves a bit of flan connoisseurs and La Luz Del Dia has the creamiest and most delicious flan ever. Sometimes flan just tastes like sweet eggs, this is a heavenly custard that needs to be tasted.
In honor of my mother, who passed away last summer, I decided to have her favorite meal on mother's day. A chile relleno and taco. La Luz del Dia did not disappoint. I love how everything is fresh and they make their tortillas right here.
My favorite place to eat in LA! The food is always fresh and delicious. I’ve been coming here for over 20 years and it has stayed consistent - welcoming with amazing food. I highly recommend the carnitas plate though you can’t go wrong with anything you pick. If you need something sweet, don’t forget to try the jamaica.
beautiful place! the food was excellent and the best attention ever! the owners and staff are amazing people
Absolutely delicious. Every single thing we ordered was fantastic. The service is good and fast. Music can be heard if you sit outside. You'll love!
This place brought me back to Sunday mornings in Houston when I was growing up. The chicharron taco is exactly what it should be. Texture probably not for everyone. Tamal was different than what I expected, but the sauce made it. Oh, and it was under 8 before tax.
Been coming here for over 30yrs Chile rellenos, tacos de picadillo and the carnitas tostadas...wao
I shall start off with first crediting my sister for choosing the lunch spot, where I haven't visited in a year. The food was Bang-On, Mate! We had to opt for outside seating due to the Warm, summer day. Who's complaining? Fortunately, there was a Mariachi band "getting their money " to Make for a complete moment of my Throwback experience. The grassy spanse nearby has been cleaned up, too. Thanks, Sis!
